Taking performance into account, and more specifically managerial performance, is becoming an essential issue for SMEs in terms of growth. The objective of the study is to measure the influence of the commitment in the leadership approaches on the managerial performance. In order to achieve this objective, we mobilize the quantitative approach of the research. At the end of a survey by questionnaire administered to 43 respondents (leaders of SMEs), the results of this research have shown that the commitment in leadership approaches by SMEs have a significant and positive effect on managerial performance. We identified the profile and skills of the leader to explain the leadership. Thus we identified variables related to the profile of the leader such as: age, gender and level of education. All these variables have a positive effect on managerial performance. As for the leader's skills, we captured it with the following variables: entrepreneurial skills, technical skills, relational skills and managerial skills.
