Originally published in 1932, this book contains an edited edition in French of the autobiographical account by the sailor and tennis champion Alain Gerbault of his solo circumnavigation of the globe in the 1920s. The story of Gerbault's feat was originally the subject of three volumes, here condensed into one and supplied with a glossary and a guide to certain French phrases and idioms that appear in the text.
