Beskrivelse
This book analyses Michel Foucault's ideas on colonial knowledge from the perspective of Latin American Critical Theories (TCLA's), from his earliest formulations. To this end, considerations from Aníbal Quijano, Catherine Walsh, Enrique Dussel, Santiago Castro-Gómez, Ramón Grosfoguel, Walter Mignolo, among others, are used, above all, quotations from Foucault's course In Defence of Society (1975-1976), to delve deeper into the theme of Decoloniality of Knowledge. This book received contributions from the Research Group on Education and Latin American Critical Theories (GPETCLA) and the Research Group on Foucauldian Studies and Education (GPEFE) of the Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Programme in Education at the University of São Francisco (USF), São Paulo, Brazil.
