Born on February 27, 1932, in London, England. Although she was born an English subject, her parents, Sara Sothern (née Sara Viola Warmbrodt) and Francis Lenn Taylor, were Americans, art merchants from St. Louis, Missouri (her father having gone to London to start up a gallery) (her father had gone to London to set up a gallery). Her mother had been an actress on the stage but gave up that career when she married. Elizabeth resided in London until the age of seven when the family moved to the US as war clouds started rising in Europe in 1939. They departed without her father, who remained behind to wind up the loose ends of the art company.Elizabeth Rosemond Taylor was regarded as one of the last, if not the last, significant celebrity to have emerged out of the old Hollywood studio system. She was recognized globally for her attractiveness, notably for her violet eyes, with which she caught audiences early on in her adolescence and had the globe hooked on them since

Sher died on March 23, 2011, in Los Angeles, from congestive heart failure. Her last resting place is Forest Lawn Memorial Park, in Glendale, California
