Last Shot

Our modern-day version of an old quotation ';variety is the spice of life' is a fitting description of Jacqueline Lonsdale Cuerton's life story to date. Her relationships with family, friends, acquaintances and colleagues, plus her many and varied occupations, all reflect her ability to adapt to circumstances and move forward with life. Jacqueline is a true survivor. Her story gives us an insight into a very interesting personal life and her service to the community at large, told in a very entertaining style. - Ann BrowneJacqueline Lonsdale Cuerton has cheated death twice in her life: once as a child when a German bomb blew in the walls of her house in the Blitz; and again when, at 16, she barely survived a horrific motorbike accident. Hers is one of the many ';ordinary' lives that, once told, are clearly extraordinary. From these beginnings, and from feelings of being a forgotten and unappreciated child, Jacqueline has emerged to live a fascinating life on her own terms. Twice married, a determined single parent, an accomplished career professional, traveller and poet, and always suffering pain from her accident, Jacqueline has nonetheless prevailed.
