Influenced by true stories this children's book explores the experiences of a Lady chicken and a Mr. Peacock who arrive from .....Somewhere The chickens are all part of a school garden project. Lady Chicken escapes from a horrible environment leaving her six sisters. She meets with Billy, a local child, who encourages his father to create a new living environment for all the Lady Chickens. Along the way we meet Mr. Peacock who saves Lady Chicken from certain danger and they bond a friendship. The story ends with all the chickens happily reuniting in a new home and Mr. Peacock looking after them The storyline is enhanced by amazing illustrations and songs that readers can participate in as they enjoy the book.. Children will see that anything is possible if they apply themselves to the task in hand and that caring for others, family values and true friendships are important in life.
