Beskrivelse
Kudzu, Georgia tells the story of Sally Mae Hollifield's first year as a grammar school teacher in the 1970's. She falls in love with her students, the dirt poor children of a mill village in Appalachia.
Besides teaching challenges, Sally Mae encounters unforgettable Southerners, their small-town petty politics and a ring of criminal activity. Despite these conflicts she makes friendships and meets her husband-to-be along the way.
"Kudzu, Georgia is a contemporary novel inspired by Constance Bonanni's experiences during her first year in teaching. Constance is now a teacher of teachers (she supervises student teachers in their classrooms) at our local university. She is a funny lady and her sense of humor permeates every page. I hope you enjoy her as much as I did." - Tanya Hazelton, Ph.D.
