When a terrorist group takes over the U.S. Patent Archives, known as the Labyrinth, and threatens economic chaos with the destruction of every patent, Karen Krystal finds herself in a compromising position. As the Labyrinth's designer with intimate knowledge of its layout and security, and as a former classmate of the terrorist leader, it's hard for the government not to suspect her of working with terrorists. But with her sister among the hostages, Karen has more to worry about than simply clearing her name. She has no one she can trust but herself, and only she has any hope of rescuing the hostages and putting a stop to the terrorists' plans...if the government doesn't stop her first.
