It was written before the country was divided andprovides a waelth of information on the entire country,particularly on the north, something that has been difficulttoobtain in the West in the past forty years. Unfortunately, only very few volumes survived the end ofWorld War II, so that it has been very difficultto get holdof the book. Lautensachh[s 'Korea' is considered a classicalexample of regional geography.
