Beskrivelse
This study was carried out as part of our end-of-cycle work at the University of Goma in the Democratic Republic of Congo. We sought to verify the students' knowledge, their attitudes towards female condoms and whether they are used by students, from which we took a sample of one hundred students who made up our survey population. Hence, at the end of the analysis of the information gathered in the field, we found the following realities: Students in Goma are sufficiently informed about female condoms and the role they play in the fight against STIs. The factors that influence negative attitudes towards female condom use among students are social and personal factors, among others: some say that it encourages prostitution, others say that the use of the latter is strictly forbidden by church and scripture, still others say It decreases sexual pleasure and all of these factors are inconsistent with public health requirements. The vast majority of female condoms are not practiced among students.
