Docs Sable Whiskey, a registered American Quarter Horse, was born in north Georgia in 1991, but moved to eastern Tennessee when she was a yearling to become the companion of a five-year-old girl. Their friendship was immediate, and they shared the joys and hardships of life as the years drifted by. But time does not stop at childhood. Children grow up, and horses grow old. Margaret moved far away, and Sable eventually fell on sad, difficult times, suffering illness and starvation. This is the story of her rescue, recovery, and reunion with her forever friend. Sable's life is a testament to the fortitude and determination to survive-and to the love a girl and her horse kept in their hearts. Follow Sable on her journey through life as she finds a forever home at the age of twenty-six, and, on one sunny summer day, sees a beautiful lady who whispers the words so special to both of them: "Kiss, Sable."
