This volume contains seven contributions to the topic of interconfessional (church) music history. Questions of genre and institutions are examined with Jewish, Catholic and Protestant backgrounds. The research objects are mass compositions of the early modern period, hymnals of the Catholic late Enlightenment, arrangements of opera pieces for the use of the Herrnhut Brethren Community and music in the services of Reform synagogues around 1800.
