KeyPoint Review of Psychiatry is a comprehensive review material that can be helpful to psychiatry residents and psychiatrists in the preparation toward training or certification exams. The content is very detailed and well organized for easy revision. The entire book is divided into 4 sections. The first section, "Clinical Evaluation & Mental Disorders," focuses on patient evaluation, terminologies and psychopathologies. The chapters are 1) Patient Evaluation; 2) Alcoholism & Substance Abuse; 3) Adult Psychopathology; and 4) Child Psychopathology. The second section contains topics that interface with psychiatry. These are 5) Neurology and Neurosciences and 6) Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry. The third section provides information about the major treatment methods. These are 7) Psychopharmacology and Other Somatic Treatment Methods and 8) Psychotherapies & Psychosocial Interventions. The last section contains other basic and miscellaneous information. The chapters are 9) Forensic Psychiatry; 10) Growth & Development; 11) Behavioral Science & Social Psychiatry and 12) Miscellaneous. Geriatric and Emergency Psychiatric topics are highlighted throughout chapters 2 and 3.
