Thousands of archaeological site monuments and finds that can be assigned to the Iron Age (800-15 BC) and in particular to the Celtic culture have been documented in Hesse. They form a veritable treasure trove for science. From March 10, 2022, the first state-wide archeology year invites you to discover Iron Age Hesse with numerous events. Special exhibitions at a total of eight museum locations deal with buzzwords that seem modern, such as innovations, consumption of resources or urbanization, as well as outstanding achievements of Celtic handicrafts.
