Paul's grief consumed him. How does a parent reconcile the death of a child? Who would be able to help him process such an unconscionable tragedy? Friends, family and resources were in abundance. Counselors? The church? Others were hurting, but were slowly moving on. He felt alone and confused dealing with his private hell. He put on a good face, but inside, his heart was in shambles. He was haunted by the old adage, a parent should never have to bury a child. Paul's life would never be the same. He feared the emptiness might linger forever. His path to reconciliation and healing would be slow, tearful, painful and challenging, but necessary for Paul to begin to move on.
