Beskrivelse
Here is a short collection of poems and reflections about the grace of God and the struggles of Ministry. It is centered around the teachings and concepts of Ecclesiastes 11:1-6. To "Cast"- to send forth, send away, let go of and give; whether there is an immediate or even a balanced and fair return for your labor and doing so. From my understanding we are to invest in others and refuse to allow the possibility of hard times or an uncertain future keep us from being generous. This is a call to hard work even when the ground may seem unpromising. Especially when it comes to sharing the Gospel of Christ. In 1 Corinthians 3:7 it is explained, "So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow." How much more meaningful is it to give without expectation, to sacrifice for the greater good? To pray for rain and then be able to wait for it patiently? I believe that by making others the fruit of your labor, one finds the true heart of endeavor.
Fading Lights- was inspired by young Ministers and experienced Pastors who watched church doors close and for a brief moment be told Worship was no longer deemed essential.
Jesus Is The Better Way- tells of having to make the choice of staying or going; when a person falls in love with a missionary but can't take the journey.
Individually we are the Seeds From The Gain Of Life, but collectively we are the Kingdom and Body of Christ.
