Just a Moment

This experimental collection of poetry is inspired by the traditional Japanese senryu style. Each poem is 17 syllables in length, structured in three lines of 5 syllables, 7 syllables, and five syllables. Generally, senryu poems reference some aspect of human emotion or human nature, similar to haiku, which generally references the natural world. These collected poems range in tone, content and purpose. They have been collected from a larger overall body of poetry the author has established over the years and represents some of his favorite and most personal pieces.
