Imagine you think you've finally found the man of your dreams. He's single, never married, a successful small-town attorney who tells you he wants to "make up" for all of your past abuses and pain. He wants to give you everything you never had. Imagine he proposes to you after a 2-month "courtship" and marries you 2 months after that You're in heaven, right? Imagine you discover he has multiple addictions - demons you've never had to contend with in your life. Imagine you think if you love him enough and do enough special things for him, he'll change. He'll come around, he'll stop hurting you, he'll be healthy and happy and a great husband. Imagine - after 20 years of a very painful marriage - you wake up in a cell block overflowing with his drugger clients and dangerous women that threaten you almost daily because they believe you're a "plant" or "informant." Imagine that the police tell you that your husband is doing everything he can to make sure you don't get out of that cell block, and has asked his colleagues and friends to help him achieve that goal.
