Journey to Success with Dr. Joel Vance explores how we can acquire knowledge and hone our skills to become good leaders, capable of making quick decisions. Sharing his decades of managerial work experience, Dr. Vance believes that good leadership means motivating and empowering others to do their job so they can reach their full potential. In essence, this means knowing when to lead, when to follow, or get out of the way.
About the Author
Dr. Joel Vance is an Associate Professor of Business at King University. His career started with the Marine Corps, and later, he became a Naval Officer. In addition, he has held executive management positions at several different companies. He has owned several businesses and currently owns a Tutor Doctor Franchise that ranks in the top twenty-five. Dr. Vance has published several articles such as "Employee Turnover, a Management Perspective" in various business journals. His doctoral degree in business and his vast management experience helps him teach business issues that plague organizations in a way that students can relate to. He combines theory with practical applications in real-world settings. His passion for teaching allows him to mentor many students who want to be entrepreneurs or managers.
