Editor's note: The author has written an eloquent, moving book about following, rejecting, and rediscovering a belief system that explains our relationship to God. The author goes to great lengths to define terms and explain their shortcomings. He does so in a gentle, gradual, and perceptive way, laying the groundwork for greater understanding before building on the concepts. Jordan Peterson's writings are central to the author's thinking, and with the aid of his guidance, the author goes beyond Catholicism, Protestantism, and no religion at all to eventually reach comprehension on a profound higher level. The author's style is engaging and clear, so readers can grasp concepts that are quite complicated. This is the most profound book I have read in a good while, and I stand in awe of the author's unwavering quest for nearly sixty years to uncover, to the best one can, the meaning of life and of our Maker's relation to us. My hat is off to the author for the persistence in his search and the richness of his accomplishment!
