The Magory’s love to sing, especially songs of emigration that delve into Irish history and heritage. This story sees Johnny explain the stories behind some of their favorite songs to his sister Lily-May. He explains when and why the Irish traveled the world over the centuries touching on the Great Famine and the recession of the 80’s. Features snippets of lyrics to songs such as “City of Chicago” by Luka Bloom and “Fields of Athenry” by Michael Considine.
