For those who enjoy history - & pondering the revelations that come into focus. When I was a kid, I read several biographies on John Paul Jones. But at the end of them I had an uneasy feeling that he seemed to have disappeared. Decades later I learned: he had in fact disappeared. This has been fun [for me]: in checking and verifying my statements, I found more amazing facts. In considering and reflecting on those facts [which many people already know], I found connections between those facts which I have not found anyone else has yet realized [or at least written about or spoken about]. One of these connections is General George Washington's "Command Decision" in the late summer of 1777 - as a result of his "Command Decision": (a) he lost Philadelphia (the capital of his new-born country); (b) he had to spend the frigid-despairing-dispirited winter with his troops of the Continental Army in Valley Forge [20 miles outside and to the west of Philadelphia]; but (c) caused the turning point of the American Revolutionary War hundreds of miles away - which "turning point" was not known or realized till after another six years of war. You'll find even more connections herein. Enjoy - & let your synapses snap!
