John Emms: Paintings

John Emms was at his very best when he was painting dogs. His unique ability to capture the majesty of the hound coupled with the humor and mischief of the terrier was derived from an intimate knowledge of his subject, drawn from years of experience working with the dogs that he painted and studying their character and physiognomy both in kennel and studio.
