A job profiler is a person who works in human resources in a company who bases his or her analysis on data obtained in a recruitment interview, a database of human resources records and informal conversations, as well as on observations of candidates. Job profiling is a research technique that allows the individual to predict the identifying characteristics of a candidate for a position by analyzing psychological or behavioral evidence obtained from different sources of information. It is personalized and confidential, without disqualifying a priori those who practice it, which may well be individuals or work groups. The job profiler must have the ability to carry out a job investigation according to professional planning, in accordance with learned working methods and techniques.
