Beskrivelse
Imparting instructions in practical aspects of journalism communication and writing skills, reporting, editing, document designing and bringing out publications is very important for teaching theoretical aspects of the subject to the students of journalism and mass communication. In today's fast changing environment, a journalist cannot afford to remain 'isolated' and continue to be in one-dimension medium. He has to be simultaneously acquainted with both the print, electronic and now the digital media. The basic principles of writing and reporting for these media, by and large, remain the same. The book is, therefore, intended to meet the need of the students of journalism and other disciplines who wish to acquire communication, reporting and editing skills. The book has been divided into twelve chapters comprising Developing Communication Skills: Fundamentals of Good Writing; News: Nature and Structure; News Organisations: Newspapers and News Agencies; Reporting; The Art of Interviewing; Feature Writing; Development Reporting; Editing; Public Relations: Subsidiary Journalism; Radio and Television News; Information Technology and Print Media; Communication Skills for Technical and Research Writing, Document Designing and Publishing Conference Proceedings.
