Are you a teen who's ever questioned the strength of your faith? Have you wondered about following without question authority figures such as government officials, teachers, or even pastors who may be hypocritical or even blindly leading others? What about marriage and divorce? Does God's Word differ from today's definition of these, and if so, how and why? Have you ever been faced with any of the above or with personal or governmental persecution?
All of these are huge issues today that need to be examined in relation to Scripture to discover how God wants you to live. After eight to fifteen weeks of digging in, you will know what God says, but what really matters is answering the question, "Will I live in obedience to God's Word because I love Him, have a deep heart relationship with Him, and want to glorify and please Him always?" Can I say, "I trust You with all I am, Father, and no matter what life brings, I will follow You because I believe in Your Word, Your Son Jesus Christ as my Savior, and in the power of the Holy Spirit." The answers to all these require standing tall, and this is the journey on which Jesus' Words for Teens--Standing Tall will take you.
