Jessica of Russ

Jessica Svetlana Gilkova discovers that pseudonyms are passports

to the world, poetry becomes the song of dissidents, and fashion

is the language of freedom when the true self is denied. Drawn

into the underworld of the Society of Poets by poet Alexsei, she

becomes suspicious of his carefree life. She finds mysterious missions

of dissidents caught in Cold War Russia threaten her haute

couture boutique in Leningrad, that repression forces people and

relationships to hide behind personas and facades.



Meanwhile Viktor champions Jessica, a woman entrepreneur,

while one of his stated desires is to obtain a fiery opal pendant
