Do you ever feel like you'd like to change, but you can't seem to make it happen? Do you long to feel closer to God?
So often we change as soon as we become Christians but then go for years and years without a lot of growth. In this new Bible study on James, you'll have a chance to study the Bible in a way that will help you change the things you've been wanting to change. The things that hurt your relationship with God and also your relationship with others.
Each day (or week), you'll study a small section of Scripture and use that Bible passage to explore something that's going on in your life right now. It may be something that just happened this week or something you've been struggling with for years. It could be a temptation, a trial, a relationship struggle, or something that's not even on your radar at the moment, but James thinks it should be!
As you explore that day's Scripture, Barb provides questions to help you gain awareness of where you're at right now, look at the issue from a biblical perspective, then list some action steps you can take to make a change in that area of your life. This Bible study is all about growing closer to God as you go to Him for help with life, so Barb will also have a prayer suggestion in each lesson to help with that goal.
James is a 20-lesson Bible study for individuals, one-on-ones, or small groups who know each other well (or want to know each other well).
Each lesson in the book covers a different topic. Following are just a few of the topics covered in the James study:
