James Forest's Amazing Affair

James Forest, a respected small-town journalist, is haunted by a terrible secret. One rainy evening, he accidentally collides with a child's bicycle on a deserted road. Getting out of his car, he discovers the child's lifeless body, but instead of calling for help, he chooses to flee the scene. Riddled with guilt, he uses his profession to discreetly investigate the accident and make sure there are no witnesses, unwittingly arousing the suspicions of the police. As the noose tightens around him, guilt consumes him, slowly pushing him towards depression and a sense of impending doom.
