Beskrivelse
I spent much time researching donkeys before adopting Jack and Jill. I knew I wanted to adopt animals that may not have had the best start in life but deserved a better future. Our first year together was filled with many "firsts". It was my first experience with equines and their basic husbandry needs. It was Jack and Jill's first experience in having a choice regarding their behavior. It was a year of building a relationship based on trust and acceptance. As Jack and Jill became more comfortable in their new surroundings, they were able to bestow their gentle outlook on life that allows one to live in the moment and appreciate each day with compassion and grace. This is the charm of living life with donkeys. Although Jack and Jill's future is secure, many donkeys are not so fortunate. Any proceeds from this book will be donate to Longhopes Donkey Shelter to enable them to continue their work in helping all donkeys at risk for neglect, abuse or death. Through their rescue, rehabilitation, rehoming, and permanent sanctuary, many donkeys have a second chance at a brighter future just like Jack and Jill have had. Wouldn't it be nice if all donkeys were that lucky
