Not wanting to be seen crying by Bronson and the kids if they should come back before he calmed down, he started walking the other direction, thinking he might buy coffee at the gas station."

Sometimes we think we are headed in one direction to avoid catastrophes. Stevie never bought coffee that day. Something... unexpected caught his attention. As in his life, the innocent road he lay foot on constantly changes direction.
