Isaiah served as prophet-at-court for five kings of Judah. While threatened by Assyria, Jerusalem was assured that they were safe, but would later be delivered from Babylon by a servant of JHVH. But the true Servant of JHVH emerges from background to foreground in four magnificent "songs." The true Deliverer would provide salvation and establish a kingdom of true Shalom.
