With an honest, unbiased and oftentimes self-mocking manner, the author shares the highlights of his personal and professional life in Poland and the USA, spanning over nearly seventy years, in the form of purposefully laconic stories in a culturally and socio-politically rich context, emphasizing the uplifting, hilarious, ironic, paradoxical and absurd situations. Filled with personal observations and factual information covering such areas as education, sociology, geography, history, politics, linguistics, literature, performing arts, sports and the paranormal, the episodes address issues of growing up, professional struggles and successes, love and married life, friendships, parenthood, social life, short- and long-distance travels and even relationships with pets. Though diametrically different from his reference books, this one, a memoir, routinely alludes and refers to the author's lifelong passion: film. The celebrities that have crossed paths with the author, and whose names, thus, appear in the book in one way or another, include Patricia Neal, Jan A. P. Kaczmarek, Janusz Kaminski, Maria Cooper Janis, Byron Janis, Bill Clifton, Stan Breckenridge, Peter and Natalia Safran, spiritual reggae band "Gentleman and the Evolution," Nell Minow, Tomasz Sarnecki and Michal Oleszczyk.
