Beskrivelse
Since the expansion of the market economy instituted by colonization, it was transposed onto structures essentially based not on market institutions but on social and community relations, in which individual property rights were not widespread. Moreover, colonization, because of its poor capacity to integrate local populations into the new economic structures, and given the limitations of the educational infrastructure available to the populations (especially vocational training), favored the expansion of informal activity. Investment in the informal activity dimension is seen by these actors as a solution to underemployment in Cameroon. In the first part, we will analyze investment in a purely informal dimension in Cameroon. In the first chapter, we present the specific approaches to investment in informal activities. Then in the second chapter we study the choices of investments in the informal sector in Cameroon.
