Into the Valley

Opie, Martin and their two children, Nathan and Arvella work hard in Schoharie to build their lives and fortunes. Martin was not a young man and took on too much work, thus ending his life early. It was very difficult to survive with no husband and Opie mourned Martin and missed her love. A family friend lost his wife as well and he proposed to Opie, but she was too deeply into grieving to reply. Suddenly she had to make a decision, and fast because a flood swept away all she and Martin had worked for, this was a terrible blow. Schoharie held too many memories for Opie and she needed to decide the direction her life should take. She also was keeping a huge secret, one she should have shared with Martin. It was truly a life altering secret and she had to talk about it and seek help.
