The year is 2131. The surface of the earth has been defaced and the omega-virus has made human touch lethal. For survival, the masses have moved underground and exist in a virtual reality utopia. But among all the vivid and fantastical senses perceived in this reality, there is one who, encouraged by an illegal photo of a wedding couple, longs for an authentic existence that he can truly touch and move, smell and taste: Duncan Rygar.

Follow Duncan on his adventure searching for an authentic life in the real world where he longs for genuine love, fights for freedom, and encounters Truth along the way. Duncan learns survival in the real world which calls for courage and sacrifice as he faces off against enhanced soldiers, modified humans, and humanity's greatest fear: the Black Maw.
