Beskrivelse
Arguably, prophetic intercessors are among the most selfless and fruitful of all ministers. They consistently place others above themselves as they stand in the gap to plead for mercy or justice, oftentimes while laying aside their own needs and desires. The Lord also uses prophetic intercessors to birth His promises on the earth. They are ministers behind ministers, both for prayer support and to birth ministries. Ananias obeyed the Lord by praying for an incapacitated Saul of Tarsus, a man who had recently been persecuting him and other members of the Way. That prayer birthed Paul's prolific apostolic ministry. Hannah interceded to the Lord to bless her with a son and He answered with a baby boy who became Samuel the Seer. After King Herod had killed the Apostle James, John's brother, Rhoda and other intercessors interceded for Peter, the next apostle Herod had arrested and appointed for death. Thanks to their intercession, the Lord sent an angel to deliver Peter. When the Israelites were steeped in idolatry with the Lord's wrath kindling over them, Moses interceded to save the fledgling nation. Similarly, after the three year and six-month drought in Israel, Elijah labored in intercession to end the drought and resultant famine. Then there is Jesus, who interceded while on earth, but is now seated at the right hand of the Father, making intercession for us. He even asked the Father to send the Holy Spirit, who also intercedes on our behalf."Intercessory Birth Pangs: The Prophetic Intercessor" pays homage to the selflessness of the Lord's prophetic intercessors, both those listed in the Bible and others who are not in the Biblical narrative. But most of all, this book salutes the Chief Intercessor, Christ Jesus. Glory to the Lord Jesus, who was, and is, and is to come!
