The global financial crisis has highlighted major weaknesses in the finance industry including access issues to financial records and information, higher operational risks, flawed bankruptcies and foreclosure proceedings. The increased online presence and homeworking during the ongoing pandemic have also significantly expanded the attack surface for cybercriminals and the scope for criminals to exploit vulnerabilities and commit financial crimes. Multimedia technologies have opened a wide range of possible applications by combining a variety of information sources such as voice, graphics, animation, images, audio, and full-motion video which can be successfully implemented in Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) industries to support their activities and strategic goals.
