Beskrivelse
George Bernard Shaw was known for many things. Perhaps most notably a prolific playwright, Shaw was also a staunch socialist and devoted much of his life to politics, as a fierce advocate for human rights and social equality. Probably one of the most humble men of his times, Shaw turned down a number of awards, including the offer of a knighthood. He does, however, remain the only person to have won both a Nobel Prize for Literature and an Academy Award. This insightful character has been much quoted, both during his life and since his death in 1950. This book comprises many of his thoughts on a variety of subjects.
