Report on excavation of over 300 nineteenth-century slave burials in Rupert's Valley in advance of work on proposed airport on St Helena. Island was used by Royal Navy to land slaves taken from slave ships following the abolition of the slave trade in 1807. Unique collection of remains, with detailed osteological, archaeological and artefactual analysis.
