Industrial Heritage and Cultural Landscape in Campos dos Goytacazes

Sugar and alcohol production has been extremely important to the history of Campos dos Goytacazes. From the glorious past to the decadent present, its remnants are part of the local cultural landscape and are an excellent source for understanding the uniqueness of the municipality. This is intensified if we treat this process in the light of the concept of Industrial Heritage. This article is an attempt to better understand this relationship.
