In the 15th century, the Europeans came to America thinking they were in India. When they invaded Arkansas, they saw red-skinned people with paint on their faces and feathers in their hair. The Europeans thought they were weird. The so-called Indians thought the same. They were looking for new land to take over. They and the Indians became friends at first. The Europeans propositioned the Indians with money and weapons for their land, but the Indians refused to sale it. The Europeans was enraged, and thought if they wouldn't sale their land, then they would take it. So, without warning, the Europeans attacked and went to war with the Indians for their land. There were two dominant Indian tribes in Arkansas. The Kwawpaw and the Ahshitaw. The Kwawpaw tribe were peaceful and didn't fight unless they were threatened. The Ahshitaw tribe were more aggressive. They would fight if they were threatened or not. The Europeans had more weapons than the Indian people had, and were winning the war. Between the Kwawpaw and Ahshitaw territories, a diamond shaped bright red gem was planted in the ground. If that gem were removed, humanity would be cursed with animal instincts, which means if someone were angered, they would turn into the animal they liked. The Kwawpaw and Ahshitaw tribes came together and agreed to remove the gem and go to battle with the Europeans and run them from their land. The Indian chiefs removed the gem and a lot of bright red smoke came from the ground, covered the earth, and gave every human being in the world a power to change into an animal when they are angered.
