In a lot of relationships love has been replaced by hate. The short story IN THE ABSENCE OF LOVE THERE'S HATE by Martin Majaji illustrates how it can occur.
Not many know how the hate grows or where it comes from. But continuously talking negatively about a person can build itself into hate.
People by nature love negativity because they know how to feed it well. That's how this creature called hate is sometimes created.
A lot of times the person who receives the hate has no idea how it even got that far like what you will find out IN THE ABSENCE OF LOVE THERE'S HATE. It can be shocking to find out how other people feel about you.
