Why do so many Christian men struggle to be sexually pure and fail? What if the pathway is not about quitting our desires and suppressing our pursuit of pleasure? What if it's about where we find our deepest pleasure? And what it it's about who we most deeply believe ourselves to be, our personal identity? In a study of 1 Thessalonians 4:1-8, the author answers 3 key questions: 1) What are the 3 compelling prerequisites without which true, sustained, from-the-heart sexual purity is impossible? 2) What is sexual purity and why does God require it? 3) In the cause-and-effect world which god has created, what are the serious and severe consequences ordained by God for this sin?
