Beskrivelse
The book examines the causes and consequences of project failure in Somaliland, a self-declared state in the Horn of Africa. It reveals that many projects implemented by the Ministry of Planning and non-governmental organizations face cost overruns and delays, resulting in wasted donor funds and unmet expectations. It argues that there is a lack of effective monitoring and evaluation practices in Somaliland, which hampers project success and accountability. It proposes to conduct a study to investigate how monitoring and evaluation practices influence the project success of non-governmental organizations in Hargeisa, the capital of Somaliland. It aims to contribute to improving project management and development outcomes in Somaliland.
