Recruitment is considered as a very important activity for any organization, as human capital is a valuable asset for any organization (Greiner, 2004). It is the first step in attracting the potential candidates for the vacant positions in an organization, which precedes selection. Recruitment is considered as a positive process as no rejections occurs during recruitment while selection is considered as a negative process as maximum rejections of candidates occur during this phase (Windolf, 1986). This process has undergone various changes during the course of time. Earlier traditional methods of recruitment used newspaper advertisements and job consultancies, but in recent times, due to the advancement of technologies, the recruitment process has taken a new turn and is shifting more towards social networking sites such as LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter (Andrews, 2012).
