This book investigates whether economic growth reduces poverty. It analyses what impact economic growth has on poverty, and what structures that possibly preserve these phenomena. This book will also investigate the impact of conflicts on the poverty of households in Pinga located in North-Kivu province. In fact, since the beginning of the years 2000, The Democratic Republic of Congo has restarted its cooperation with the Betton Wood institutions ( the IMF and the WB) but also with other bilateral and multilateral partners. The general objective of this study was to investigate the impact of economic growth on poverty reduction in conflict zones of DRC in one hand and to analyze the impact of conflict on the poverty of households of Pinga city on the other hand. The Government is recommended to respect the democratic principles, the rehabilitation of main roads, to Strengthen governance and peace (the restoration of the Security, state authority, etc), to Improve access to basic social services and strengthen the human capital, to support the local economy, establishment of management mechanisms of local conflicts, to take into account women in the local development plan, etc.
