Despite considerable interest in the field of ancient Egyptian art, there has, until now, been no specializing body focusing on this topic. The newly formed journal Imago Aegypti provides a thorough overview of issues, areas of research, and the current findings in international Egyptian and Coptic art. The journal is published annually and takes an art history and art theory approach, but also addresses issues relevant to museology and field archeology. German text.
