Miles and his Uncle Roland started their adventure along the Chitlin Circuit to find the treasured objects that had been stolen from them. As they move from one state to another, they encounter jazz musicians, villains, and other memorable characters. Park and Marie also meet unforgettable personalities on their journey from city to city. Miles and Park have something in common: they both claim possession of Never Die, the object that propels this epic voyage. Continuing the story in Book 3, J.A.Rollins focuses on the antagonists. Though Park gets a chance to acquire the object that would allow him to fulfill his dream of total jazz domination, he ends up with a consolation prize that he didn't expect. But for Marie, the unexpected package turns out to be a godsend.
