I Still See You

Cooper Scott is your typical farm boy from Jupiter, Georgia with a dream of making music for a living instead of breaking his back on the farm like the generations before him. When his girlfriend and biggest supporter, Maci Hart, pays for studio time to make a demo, he jumps at the chance. And when he finally gets an offer from a record label, he wants to jump on it before it can slip away.

Maci has her doubts, especially when his hair and his clothes and his body type start to change, but he continues on, feeling like he's on top of the world. He's at parties with his idol, Knox Jacobs, and meets the likes of other famous artists, including the most scandalized artist, Keith Kramer.

Cooper starts spending more time with Serena Gold, the music producer's daughter, and lies through his teeth to Maci. The mistakes of others in the same position as him doesn't seem possible to happen to Cooper. Maci goes back to Georgia, and he insults his best friend on the radio, but everyone loved the interview. He's invincible. He's untouchable. Until a sex tape of him with Serena is leaked on the internet, and he's suddenly being compared to Keith Kramer, the man who cheated on his wife and knocked up his mistress.

Things start to spiral out of control as his contract demands, new sort-of-girlfriend demands, and overall industry demands weigh on him. Without any inspiration, he finds himself stuck, uninspired, and just not himself. Soon, he's dropped by his label and his sort-of-girlfriend who has moved on with the man who replaced him.

With nowhere left to go, he heads back to Jupiter, Georgia with his tail between his legs, only his pickup and guitar to his name. Can he overcome the embarrassment he caused his family? Will their disappointment ever go away? Can Maci ever look at him again and wish she never met him? Will his best friend ever get over wishing him dead? And when he gets a chance to make it in the industry again, will he be able to do things right this time, or will he repeat history?
